About BlueBuck
BlueBuck Projects is a fund and property management, and property development company that has been appointed by Maitland Ark to implement the rejuvenation of the Maitland Metro, a precinct in Cape Town, South Africa. Maitland Ark is a privately held, commercial and residential property fund whose mandate is to provide inclusionary housing opportunities close to working opportunities in Cape Town.
The BlueBuck team is small and dynamic, and is able to call on years of experience from within and from external consultants which allows BlueBuck to oversee the full asset management and property development life cycles.
The rejuvenation of Maitland Metro will not be limited to residential units, and new developments will also include retail and commercial opportunities. The emphasis on truly mixed use developments consisting of on-street retail opportunities, and commercial spaces and residential units above ground will enable the precinct to become a destination and an attractive place to live.
The priorities for the area are affordability, security, safe areas for children and adults to play, and easy access to needed shops and amenities; all within a precinct with exceptional public transport, and 20 minutes from the economic centres of Cape Town.
